Artistry and vision.
At 11 I had my first exhibition of my work, which was mostly water colours in a local gallery. That natural ability turned it into the facility where I can take the technical knowhow accrued over many years, and turn it into photo-realistic experience . I can take a series of brief instructions and combine them in a proposal which I can visualise, via 3d models and then present both in a one to one, or a multi person board room scenario.
Joining the dots.
I have the ability to isolate all the components in any one scenario and see links between them, which would normally be hidden from view. This is applicable to skills and information held by people as well as material parts of the mental jigsaw. I never cease to be amazed at just how much talent can be harnessed by simply networking with people and companies. It can sometimes be a great strength to have both negative and positive views in any organisation as too much positive and you accelerate way to fast and too much negatives and you never get going in the first place. This balance between those two facets is where my greatest skills live. I have come across many eureka moments where all the pieces fit nicely together and I allow my self a mental fist pump in celebration. This is an integral part of my business strategy as no one person can hold all the cards all the time.
Knowing what is right and more importantly what is not.
That gut reaction which instinctively indicates the validity of an input is quite a common skill to have. The real clever bit lies in isolating it from your own view or enthusiasm or equally someone else’s. To feel its correctness is an integral part of that gut reaction, it is also that reaction which says no this is not the right thing to do. Quite a good skill when it comes to time allocation
Having the ability to integrate social responsibility with the need for profit
I have sympathy with people who are motivated purely by material gain. The pure warmth of compassion and adoration of the human spirit is something that simply does not exist in that world. To not care about your fellow man, simply because he can not afford your affection or sympathy seems wrong on so many levels. The greatest wrong of all is the billionaire who has never felt the comforting caress of a loving glance that wasn’t paid for. I don’t want to live in a world like that I want to be happy and make everyone around me happy. Of course our society is currency based so the trading tokens we call money are essential, but as an entity it is purely a means to a happy end.
